Details of postponed event...

Come and get cosy by the fire at Peppermint Grove Studios and relish the sweet sounds of Mickey and Michelle, with some special album preview moments from your host Emily-Rose.

Mickey & Michelle are an Australian harp and violin duo who seamlessly blend contemporary folk and jazz in a rich, unique style of their own. Their 2019 debut album ‘A Walking Pace’ showcases the duo’s intricate sound and unusual combination of styles.

The last tour of this dynamic duo was their most challenging adventure yet; a 6-month tour on foot of NZ’s 3000km ‘Te Araroa’ trail. Mickey & Michelle are excited to share their experiences and music across their home country. We can't wait to host them at Peppermint Grove!

Please note you must pre-purchase tickets to receive the address and directions. There are only 30 tickets available. Peppermint Grove Studios is a private residence in Engadine, NSW. It is a beautiful 40min trip from either Wollongong, Sydney's inner west, Liverpool, Bankstown and of course perfect for anyone based in the Sydney South region. The gig is BYO drink, there will be some yummy snacks available but you are welcome to bring your own assortment of goodies to share as well. If we're lucky, Emily-Rose might make some mulled wine...

Michelle was born into a family of multi-generational classical musicians and has been performing professionally from the age of 11. Since then she has explored Irish and Scottish folk music and shared the stage with the likes of Shane Howard, Fiona Ross and Paul Kelly. Michelle’s compositions are deeply rooted in Celtic music, while also balancing her attention to detail and nuanced phrasing from her classical studies.

Michael on the other hand is a multi-instrumentalist who fell in love with rock & roll music in his early years. After completing a contemporary music degree he concentrated his efforts on jazz violin, yet his playful improvisations still retain the fire of his rockstar roots. Mickey has toured all around Australia performing swing dance jazz, Pirate-Punk Cabaret, puppet shows and his original compositions.
