Yarra Yering General Manager and Head Winemaker
Sarah, the esteemed winemaker and General Manager of Yarra Yering, stands at the helm of one of the Yarra Valley's oldest and most picturesque vineyards. Regarded as a prominent figure in the world of wine, her journey to winemaking was an unexpected one. Hailing from the coastal town of Wollongong, south of Sydney, Sarah initially had no aspirations of becoming a winemaker. However, her innate aversion to office life led her to pursue studies in horticulture, eventually leading her down the path to vines and wine. At Yarra Yering, Sarah's remarkable talents have garnered her numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of James Halliday Winemaker of the Year. Despite her acclaim, Sarah humbly attributes much of her success to the vineyard itself, recognising it as the true hero behind her elegant and acclaimed wines.
