Perfectly Human: Understanding and Managing Perfectionism
Event description
Overview
This new workshop from The AFC team explores what perfectionism is, where it tends to show up in people’s lives (such as procrastination, giving up easily, stress, and low self-worth), and why it persists.
For those working in the performing arts and entertainment, where high standards and constant pressure can feel overwhelming, understanding and managing perfectionism can be especially powerful. We will take a deep dive into perfectionistic behaviours, re-evaluate the importance of achievement, and introduce practical tools and strategies to reduce perfectionist thinking. Participants will also learn how to challenge unhelpful habits and build self-compassion as they work toward change.

This workshop will be beneficial for any entertainment industry professionals who may feel weighed down by perfectionism and want more supportive, balanced ways to grow in their work and life.
