Course Overview

Unfair dismissal claims lodged with the Fair Work Commission skyrocketed during the coronavirus crisis, increasing by 70 per cent at the peak of the pandemic. This is a cost that businesses cannot afford at the best of times, let alone at a time when many businesses continue to struggle financially.

With amendments to over 100 Modern Awards and countless other new directives, employers are now working with their staff in new ways.

While many of those who do have a job are working hard to keep it, sometimes there is still uncooperative behaviour found or plain refusal by staff to take on tasks or deliver on accountabilities. So how do you turn this around, or at the extreme, manage them lawfully out of the business? As many employees continue to work from home, how do you manage performance when you are not face-to-face in the workplace, or protect your star employees from being impacted by poor behaviour?

Join our legal expert for this online training event that will provide you with the tools and tips to manage difficult employees. Understand your legal rights and obligations as an employer and avoid an unfair dismissal case or other forms of legal proceedings you just can’t afford.

Places are limited and each participant will receive a training pack prior to the course.
