Facilitated by Briana Stephenson, Auckland-based Hawkes Bay track and field athlete, and founder of Take Flight, this session provides valuable insights into the mental skills that have shaped both her athletic career and personal growth to date. Having worked with renowned sports psychologist David Galbraith for the past two years, she will share strategies to optimise the body-mind connection for peak performance - integrating practical tools and mindset techniques to foster courage, resilience, and presence before, during, and after training or competition.

Attendees will explore performance reframing, goal-setting beyond results (process vs. outcome), and presence training, with both solo reflection and interactive exercises. The session will conclude with a Q&A and LSKD voucher giveaways.

Back in Hawke’s Bay while she is on break, Briana is excited to share these learnings with local athletes, coaches, and parents - helping them implement powerful mental frameworks into their sporting journeys and beyond.
