Event description

Permaculture Blue Mountains invites you to ..

Permaculture & Systems Thinking for Sustainability with Dr Annette Sartor

What exactly is Permaculture?

Is it just a better way to garden? A term for regenerative agriculture? Or is it something more - a holistic design approach for building resilient, sustainable communities in harmony with natural systems?

And what about systems thinking - how does it help us make sense of the complex world we live in? What is a system, and how do we begin to see the whole rather than just the parts?

If these questions intrigue you, come along to our next Permaculture Blue Mountains gathering

Tuesday 1 April 2025 6.30pm

Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre, 9 New Street Lawson 2783

Join us for an engaging and interactive discussion with Annette Sartor, who will delve into the concept of systems thinking and its connection to Permaculture.

Annette is one of our active members, a University lecturer in Education for Sustainability and the Education Officer at the Blue Mountains Conservation Society. Her work integrates systems thinking into environmental education, and she’ll be sharing insights from her teaching and conservation experience.

This session is perfect for anyone curious about the deeper layers of Permaculture - beyond the garden beds - and how we can design more sustainable, interconnected futures.

Everyone is welcome—come connect, learn, and be inspired!
