Perspectives: Key Lessons in High-Performance Affordable Housing from Vancouver, Canada.
Event description
BRISBANE Thursday 13th July | SYDNEY Tuesday 18th July | MELBOURNE Thursday 20th July
Adam joins us for a special evening where we will hold a conversation and share his experience of working on Passive House affordable housing developments, created for Brightside Community Homes Foundation in Vancouver. These have been designed around the foundation’s mandate to build and foster resilient communities for those who struggle to meet the demands of market housing. The developments prioritise affordability and energy efficiency. Adam will share how this redevelopment project will bring much-needed high-performing, energy-efficient, accessible, affordable housing to Vancouver for seniors and people with disabilities.
Adam James is a passionate Passive House designer and advocate and has delivered several certified and high-performance buildings for a range of sectors in Canada, the UK, and Australia. Adam is a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) and a chartered architect in the UK.
