Persuasion Training Outline

Create a Positive and Confident approach to Persuasion and Influencing

A person’s dispositionstance, and how they carry themselves plays a surprisingly huge factor in how one can persuade and influence others to see your side of the argument and eventually win others over to your favor. Confidence plays a more obvious role in the persuasion game, as being able convey what you mean to say or sell with conviction is a necessary part in the game of influence. Hence instilling positivity and confidence into the minds and hearts of our learners will give them an immense advantage on the field, allowing them to learn and grow both on a personal level and improve as speakers and influencers.

Inform learners of different styles and how to respond to them

In some circles Persuasion and Influence is considered an artform. Learners will undoubtedly enter this course with their own ideas and techniques as well; which will no doubt have their own advantages and disadvantages that need to be considered. As such, the course aims to aid learners in identifying and using these techniques and variations as well as enabling them to identify their merits and drawbacks of each allowing them to dynamically adjust and respond to these as they see fit.

Enable the creation of a more personalized impact in communication

As was stated before, the seller themselves plays an immense role in the art of the deal. Many successful merchants and influencers use themselves as platforms to help sell their ideas and products, as adding a name and a human face causes potential customers and listeners to be more easily persuaded. As such, we will aid our learners in applying elements and facets of their personality into their work, with the set goal of helping them develop and create a more personalized, individual touch to their sales pitches and presentations.

Develop a Greater Understanding and Repertoire of Language in influence and persuasion

Persuasion and Influencing is a complexdifficult game with many unwritten rules and vaguely understood systems in play that anyone attempting to influence and persuade another needs to be aware of.

This is a discussion that is analyzed by participants and explained for the best results. When you put into consideration the many variables that can muddy an already murky message one needs to convey and cause a negative impact. With this and many other factors in mind, this course aims to arm students with the necessary tools to interpret these key factors and cues present in the written and spoken word that may influence their attempts at persuasion, explain to them how these vague notions impact their work, and teach them how to use and apply what they’ve learned to increase their performance.
