Perth Hills Cherry Orchard Tour
Event description
Join us on a tour of a cherry orchard in the Perth Hills region.
They will give us a tour of their orchards, explain how to best prune and fertilise cherry trees and other tips on growing the best cherry trees we can. They will explain how they solarise their fruit damaged by fruit fly.
We will also be shown their revegetation project which has been created through a City of Armadale Habitat Links Program.
Start time is 10am but please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to ensure we can check you in before the tour starts.
The tour will proceed in all weather so please dress accordingly. Please ensure you wear enclosed shoes suitable for exploring the orchard grounds.
Please bring along the following:
$5 cash for entry
Homemade or homegrown item for the thank you hamper. This is a box of goodies we put together to gift to the host to thank them for their generosity.
Plate of food to share for lunch at the end of the tour.
