ABC Radio Perth Plant Swap
Event description
Are you a gardening enthusiast who wants to grow their plant collection? Do you love listening to Roots and Shoots on Saturdays with Sabrina Hahn?
Then join ABC Radio Perth on Saturday, 30 August for a Saturday Breakfast Plant Swap at Perth City Farm!
You’re invited to bring along your extra plants to swap in return for a new plant. This is a great way to meet other lovely gardening fans and share your favourite plants with others to practice community generosity. Join Saturday Breakfast presenter Amber Cunningham with Roots and Shoots Sabrina Hahn as they broadcast live from Perth City Farm between 8-10am whilst the plant swap takes place. Plus join a tour or talk to learn more and explore Perth City Farm.
Come and say hello, grab a coffee at Be Free café and browse the farmer’s market while you’re there.
Plants: All plant and seedling varieties are accepted, as long as they are in good condition and healthy.
- All plants need to be in certified potting mix. You must bring a plant, cutting or seedling to be able to participate in the swap.
- Bring small plants or cuttings with no woody stems or mulch and that fit into one of these categories: Seeds, indoor plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers.
- Please no fruit plants and no trees with woody stems greater than 2 cm as we’re conscious of the current Polyphagous shot-hole borer restrictions.

Perth City Farm is a community urban farm that supports connected, sustainable communities. Established on a former industrial site in East Perth, this polluted site has been lovingly rehabilitated by volunteers to become a Western Australian icon for environmental sustainability and community engagement. We provide space and opportunities to build community connections, and educate and enable people to live sustainably.
