Perth, Roundtable: Women in the Boardroom - Opportunities & Challenges
Event description
Join BWA Leaders Lyn Hawkins, (National Director) and Belinda Von Knoll (Shadforth Financial Group) in a Roundtable conversation, as we share Boardroom insights, experiences, opportunities and challenges facing women on boards.
At this interactive discussion we will explore the pathways to effective inclusion and participation, the need to understand human behaviour, and best practices in the boardroom. The presence of women on boards offers impressive benefits, including diverse perspectives, improved governance, better financial performance and talent management, reputation benefits and stakeholder trust, improved risk management and compliance. Gender equality gets better results. Yet while the representation of women on boards in Australia has been steadily increasing, there's still progress to be made to achieve gender balance.
At this "Chatham house" confidential boardroom discussion, we will discover more about each other and contribute to a powerful conversation connecting emerging leaders keen to be effective Board Directors, and those who have decades of lessons to share.
Register your seat today as there are limited numbers to ensure an interactive discussion and quality conversation over nibbles and refreshments generously provided by Shadforth Finance Group.
Share your insights and be part of the growth of the BWA’s national community; Australia’s fastest growing cohort of female leaders committed to progressing change that has real impact.
If you have Board experience, whether in the NFP, private or public sector, or aspirations for a Board role, we would love you to join the conversation.
BWA is a non-competing, supportive enterprise with a desire to see all women achieve success in business and life.
