Native Bushfoods of Perth Workshop

People have sustainably managed seasonal food resources in the Perth region for tens of thousands of years. This fascinating workshop explores the rich diversity of local native bushfoods, highlighting the deep knowledge and traditions associated with these plants and their seasonal availability.

Participants will gain an insight into a range of edible native species found in the Perth region, learning about their traditional uses, seasonal harvesting patterns, and the importance of caring for these resources. The workshop will place a special focus on bushfood plants that can be successfully grown in home gardens, providing inspiration for creating productive and resilient native landscapes.

Ideal for gardening enthusiasts, sustainability advocates, and nature lovers, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect with local biodiversity while discovering the flavours and stories of Perth's native plants.
