Event description
In this workshop, we will be exploring various drawing techniques that may prove indispensable to your new favorite hobby: SKETCHING YOUR BELOVED PETS!
This workshop will walk you through sourcing the right reference material, sketching out your idea, drawing the likeness of your pet, capturing their unique personalities, as well as material technique. This is a hands on experience, so expect to get those paws dirty! 😼👊🖐
Materials: Bring heavy stock, bristol or watercolor paper that can handle several layers. Bring practical sketching tools that will create minimal mess such as colored pencils, pens (preferably ink that won't run when it hits water), watercolor pencils, watercolor, nupastel, markers or any combination of these. Something that you can do a drawing with and something to then add color to. Apron if you'd like to avoid getting your clothes messy… a pencil sharpener. Whatever materials you’re comfortable using (within reason). Make sure your phone or iPad is fully charged if you're using it for reference— or grab a physical picture !
