Event description

Peace Run Records is proud to present Kooii core song man, Peter Hunt on Saturday 10 August at Eudlo Hall. Peter welcomes listeners into wonder and peace, calling space with his soul-tendering voice enveloped in the pulsating grooves he weaves finger-picking the guitar. Having released several albums with the groove supergroup Kooii, he released his first album under his own name "vessel" in 2020. Together with members of the group Kooii, they shall offer concert and journey through Peter’s songs and the group’s joint rhythm, feel and musical imaginations. The night shall honour a release of a song of Peter’s as he works with the crew towards releasing an album. Support act will be the divine Jeunae and Lilliahna Rogers. Doors will open at 7pm for 7:30pm show. Light food and refreshments including a licensed bar will be available thanks to the Eudlo Hall volunteer committee. Read more about the performing acts below.

Peter Hunt

Within the miniatures of the universe that are music, Peter Hunt takes listeners on journeys through worlds of song formed from an affinity with African music, Jazz and folk music from various parts of the world. Feelings of this country and ones of seeking and finding belonging are woven through the fabric of the sound.

The group shall feature Tom Hinchliffe on bass, Travis Jenkins on guitar and keyboards, Hugh Jones on drums all surrounding Peter’s voice guitar and trumpet, all chiming in with harmonies along the way.

The journey through Peter’s compositions shall feature songs from his Vessel album and more recent workings and as is their usual way, the finely crafted songs shall open up to the music of the moment and nature of the gathering with a stretching out of the groove and feeling leading the way.  The music shall inspire both sitting back and receiving or getting up and into the dance of it.
