Pettman's Beach Junior Field Naturalist's Excursion

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Hello junior nature lovers. The junior group of Bairnsdale and District Field Naturalist Club will be making an excursion to the Pettman's Beach area east of Nowa Nowa. Our day will include a guided bushwalk on tracks through the bush adjacent to the beach and exploring the main beach area and include a nature treasure hunt and information on the local plants, animals and environment. It is a family-friendly group and while the age range for juniors is under 18yrs, most junior members are of primary school age. Booking is required for each junior participant (and parents / guardians are expected to accompany and supervise juniors).
The walk is easy grade and will be less than 5km, however a good level of mobility and fitness is required due to sandy and uneven terrain. (photo: EmmaLyse)
