Phage therapy 101 - Online
Description
This practical one-day course is designed for those prescribing bacteriophage therapy or considering doing so. Sessions will cover diagnostics, quality assurance and batch production assessments and dispensing, clinical trial and regulatory aspects, current experience in regard to pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, clinical experience with phage therapy in humans and the co-adaptation of phages and bacteria in vivo.
The course is designed to support doctors, nurses and pharmacists by providing the necessary knowledge base for safe delivery of therapeutic phages. The faculty includes clinicians with extensive hands-on experience in adult and paediatric medicine and will be delivered on line and in person at Westmead.
