Philly Puppet Slam: May 2025

Puppetry has risen up as an artform in Philadelphia once again, and Studio 34 is back on the map as a hub for puppeteers to show their work. Come bask in the warm glow of our stage for a night of beautiful puppets! This is the third installment of ongoing puppet slams hosted by Aaron Mack, where a smorgasbord of puppeteers will perform their acts. There are so many things you can do with puppets! Will you laugh? Will you shed a tear? You will definitely be amazed. And, maybe, you will see a shooting star in the clear night sky on your way out the door...no promises on that one though!

Doors at 8:00 PM, show starts shortly thereafter. Admission sliding scale $10–$15 NOTA.  Come early to see our current art show, Alien of Extraordinary Abilities, featuring comics, posters, and tapestries by Tracy Chahwan, up in our hallway gallery through May. and lounge.
