Philosophy Matters Online Resources

Inspire your students to think critically, solve problems and explore philosophical concepts with our Philosophy Matters curriculum.  Consisting of over 170 sequenced lesson plans this curriculum guides students as they develop effective reasoning and critical thinking skills through an inquiry-based pedagogy.  

This developmental curriculum is aimed at Secondary students in Years 7-12 and provides Philosophical Inquiry lessons once a week, for one hour each session. All supporting resources, classroom materials and assessment tasks are included in the curriculum. 

Who is eligible to subscribe to Philosophy Matters?

Membership with Philosophy Matters is available to teachers who have completed the two-day Introductory Philosophical Inquiry course with Philosophy Matters, Hillbrook School (or equivalent).

What does a subscription include?

  • 12 months full access to Philosophy Matters website, including all curriculum materials
  • Subscriptions are available from 1 July or 1 January each year.
  • Feedback and support provided through website

How much does it cost?

  • Less than 100 students $1,660 upfront + $335 annual renewal fee
  • More than 100 students $2,140 upfront + $430 annual renewal fee

10% discount on the upfront price for members of FAPSA (and affiliated associations), APIS, and Philosophy Matters teacher training course participants.
