Phoenixes and Zombies
Event description
A discussion about failures and ‘failures’ in creative work: how do you decide whether to undertake another iteration or let a project die?
Phoenixes ‘die’ and then rise from the ashes transformed. Zombies die but won’t lie down: they hang around and consume you.
Creative work is messy, requiring many experiments, drafts, and iterations. When it gets too messy, is that a sign that success is getting ready to rise from the ashes of past attempts? Or are you pumping energy into a project that will only ever suck the life out of you?
How do you tell the difference?
Join creative conversationalist Meredith Lewis for an intimate discussion that explores the difference between phoenixes and zombies, failures and transformations, and your experience of being creative.
