Photo Stories is a free monthly community gathering where one simple photo prompt becomes a shared conversation about the neighbourhood you live in.
How it Works
Each month ReNewy Living drops a prompt on Instagram and Facebook. You take one photo in a way that feels best to you, and bring it to a relaxed evening in-person conversation. We'll look at and hear about what inspired your photo.
The Power of Shared Stories
It’s about your willingness to look a little more closely and differently at what's in your neighbourhood. Because when a community photographs its own places and spaces, individual observations become shared stories. And shared stories have a way of changing things.
Photo Stories is part of the ReNewy Living Love Local community, and gives space for real conversations about living and thinking locally.

- What are the photo prompts from July to December 2026?
In the lead up to the catch up, reminder prompts can be found on Instagram and Facebook.
Here is the list of monthly prompts:

- How can I join in when I can't come to the in-person catch ups?
We'd absolutely love you to join in the Photo Stories project. Take a photo using the right months prompt, then share your story and photo with us on Instagram and/ or Facebook by tagging @ReNewy Living and #renewylivingphotostories. Otherwise, send us a DM, or a voice message or written story with photo attachment to info@renewyliving.com.au . Whatever feels easiest for you to share.
- What do I bring?
You can share your photo with others directly from your phone, or feel free to print out a physical photo to bring along. It would be impactful to collect a gallery of photos.
Please bring your willingness to share your stories with others.
- Will there be food available to purchase?
As of June 2026, the Warners Bay Hotel has a Wednesday $15 steak night special. You're welcome to buy food and drink at the venue, or nothing at all. There are also other meals available to purchase.
Good news is that sparkling water (when on tap, not in bottle), is free.
