Event description

A creative workshop exploring the fundamental qualities of photographic portraiture. With discussions surrounding perceptions of our human likeness, as well as consideration of posing and presentation.

What you will learn:

  • The formal and technical properties of a successful portrait

  • A creative exploration into imagery, presentation, and identity

  • How to utilise ambient light with models present

What you should bring:

  • Own camera

    • please have your battery/batteries charged up and a memory card with enough space

  • Lens that ideally includes the range between 50-100mm (full frame equivalent)

    • Other lenses are welcome to experiment with

  • Weather appropriate clothing

  • Drink bottle and snack
