Photography for Fashion Editorials - Brisbane Campus
Event description
This workshop is for aspiring fashion photographers and creative directors, as a starting point for those wishing to develop their photography skills.
Level: Beginner (no experience required)
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of planning and shooting luxury fashion photography, exploring a variety of technical studio lighting styles and camera techniques. Aided by research into a variety of poses, perspectives and creative concepts, mood and story boards will be developed to effectively communicate creative ideas that will support the studio shooting. Students will be supported with model direction, lighting styles and styling within the photography studio. Guidance on uploading images from digital cameras to different editing programs will be outlined, followed by lessons in basic digital editing in Photoshop and applied in an editorial layout created in InDesign. Resulting in the foundations of a professional portfolio that will act as the starting point to studying a career in styling or fashion photography.
Resources will be provided for you, however it is preferred that you bring the following equipment to participate:
DSLR Camera / iPhone
What will you take away from the workshop? – One digital A4 editorial magazine applying images shot in the workshop. Layout, typography, flow and narrative will be exemplified via double page spreads.
