Price $20 NZD + BF Get Tickets

Event description

A series of general photography workshops with Xavier Radić

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, these workshops offer valuable insights and hands-on practice to help you get the most out of your photography during Winter Pride 2024.
These workshops are held in various locations across the Queenstown District during Winter Pride 2024. They cover multiple aspects of photography, offering tips to improve your skills, including camera settings, macro and close-up techniques, focus, and composition, among others. These sessions are a great way to boost your photography knowledge, get to know your camera better, and refine your creative eye.

Each workshop runs for 90 minutes or more during the 2024 Winter Pride Festival, and they're open to all ages (children aged 7 to 11 must be accompanied by an adult). The first half focuses on the technical aspects of using your camera, while the second half features practical exercises with group and individual photo challenges.
The workshops take place in all weather conditions, with detailed handouts emailed to you afterward.
Here's what you'll need to bring:
- A camera (any kind—mobile phones work too, though they're a bit limited)
- A spare battery
- An empty camera card
- Something to sit on (cushion, blanket, or a portable seat)
- A tripod (if you have one)
- Snacks and drinks
- Warm clothing (appropriate for the weather)
- Sensible footwear
- A raincoat (a plastic poncho from a discount store is fine)
