Tony McDonough has over 40 years experience with film and the darkroom! Learn the tips and tricks of old school darkroom techniques PLUS how to load film in your camera, and so much more about film! The title “Darkroom “ is a bit constricting. I will be talking about how to get to the dark room as well as setting up a home darkroom. The journey from: choosing a film, getting the film out of the camera, processing and eventually into the darkroom to print. I’ll go through the film types, ISO, and the “feel” of the film. How to choose the film (for this talk I will limit everything to black and white option- touching briefly on colour). How to load and develop the film and the effects developer and developing has on the film. Then onto printing the film – a short chat about what gear you will need for a home darkroom
