PIAA AusGroom 2025 Conference, Grooming Competition & Trade Show

      Entry Fees

      All Classes: $120 (inc GST) per class

      PIAA Members: $90 per class (25% Discount)

      Each class will have three sperate levels

      Entry/Intermediate/Student Class Groomers

        •     3 years or under experience in grooming.   •    Not open to Show Handlers, Breed Experts, Breeders, Masters, or Instructors.   •            Competitors must have under 3 years of experience and have never won a 1st place against 2 or more competitors, or a group, against 3 or more, or a Best in Level, Best in Show, etc.

      Open

      • Open to any groomer who has groomed over 3 years.
      • Has won 1st or best in group against 2 or more in intermediate or entry or novice level; or Best in Show /Best in Level; or any groomer from entry intermediate who chooses to compete at open level.

      Masters 

      • Open to any Master Groomer, Educator of over 2 years, Show handler, Breed specialist over 2 years.
      • Any groomer who has won 1st place or best in group against 2 or more in the class, Best in Show or Best in level open.

      Time Allocation All Classes

                    •            Small Dogs (under 10”): 1:45 hours

                    •            Medium Dogs (under 16”): 2 hours

                    •            Large Dogs (16” and over): 2:15 hours

                   plus 15 Minutes extra time for spray ups or hand stripping

      Model Dog Competition

      Model Dogs and model dog heads are a professional training tool used worldwide in grooming schools and salons by groomers to improve their skills on scissor techniques. They are also a fun hobby/art form for groomers to express their creativity.

      Please label models with the name and age of the creator

      (Children’s Class -  Free entry - Open to children 12 and under)

      Competitors are to supply their own model dogs

      Models are groomed prior to the comp and on display the entire weekend.

      Models are to be presented on Tuesday 17th September and Collected Wednesday 18th September

      Models are to have a design title card with the competitors name and class on the back. A business card holder from office works or a tie-on tag is preferred
