FAQs

• Do I need to have played pickleball before?

  Not at all! This event is completely beginner-friendly. We’ll show you the basics before the games begin, so no previous experience is needed.

• Can I come alone?

  Absolutely. Most people come on their own, and you don’t need to bring a partner. We’ll rotate partners throughout the session, making it easy to meet plenty of people naturally.

• Which session should I book?

  Please select the session that matches your age, and most importantly the age you'd like to date, then we'll do the rest.

  Don't worry we won't be checking ages as you come in.

  Session one: Ages 25 - 39. 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

  Session two: Ages 40+: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

• What’s included in my ticket?

  Your ticket includes a fully hosted two-hour singles social, guided pickleball games across four courts, rotating partners, rackets, balls, water, snacks, good tunes and prizes.

  Please note; Tickets are valid only for the 2hr age-grouped session selected when booking.

• What should I wear?

  Comfortable activewear and enclosed sports shoes suitable for moving around the court. You don’t need to buy special pickleball clothing or equipment.

• Do I need to bring a racket?

  Nope! Rackets and balls are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own racket if you have one.

• Can I bring my own drinks?

  Yes, you’re welcome to BYO drinks to enjoy in the designated off-court areas. Alcohol is not permitted on the courts and must be consumed responsibly.

• Will I play with different people?

  Yes! Partners will change regularly throughout the session, giving you plenty of opportunities to play, chat and connect with different singles.

• Is this a serious competition?

  Definitely not. This is a fun social event focused on meeting people and having fun. We’ll finish with a light-hearted competition and prizes, but you don’t need to be sporty or competitive to join in.

• Will there be an even gender balance?

  We certainly aim for a balanced mix of men and women, and every time we've had this event it's been even! However, exact numbers cannot be guaranteed. The rotating format ensures everyone can participate and meet different people throughout the session.

• Where is the event?

  The event will be held at Caringbah Tennis & The Pickle Society, 1 Fenton Avenue, Caringbah NSW 2229.

• What time should I arrive?

  Please arrive on time before your session begins so you have time to check in and get ready. Arriving late may mean missing the introduction and warm-up.

• What happens if it rains or the weather affects the event?

  If weather conditions affect the event, we’ll contact ticket holders via SMS with an update and information about any changes. Please ensure the phone & email address used for your booking is correct and check your inbox before travelling.
  

• Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

  Tickets are non-refundable for change of mind or if you can no longer attend. If you need to transfer your ticket to another eligible single person in the same age group, please contact Singles Mingles before the event. Transfers are subject to approval.

• Can I attend without playing?

  This is a participation-based event, and the rotating games are a big part of how everyone meets. You can take breaks whenever needed, but we encourage everyone to join in and give it a go.

• Is anything happening after the pickleball session?

  Yes! We’ll reserve a table at a nearby venue for anyone who wants to keep mingling after their session. Joining us is optional, and food and drinks will be at your own expense. Venue details will be sent to ticket holders closer to the event.
