Pickleball with Strangers
Event description
Nothing says summer like a game of pickleball with new mates.
We're Humpday, and we want you to meet new people, in real life over a new sport.
On February 27, we're inviting you down to pickleball courts in Richmond to make new friends. We'll pair you up with four new active friends (based on your age) who are excited to meet new people in Melbourne.
What can you expect from the night?
- Thursday February 27
- Doors from 7pm
- Your ticket includes court and equipment hire
- You'll be greeted by the team at Game4Padel and introduced to your three new friends
- The court is yours - and you'll have the court for an hour with your group of four
- On Friday we'll reach out and connect you with your crew if it's mutual
Anything else?
- This event is invite only, curated for people looking to meet new people
- We'll put you in groups of four according to your age
- You don't need to know how to play! We'll run through the rules :)

Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Most people come to Humpday events solo, and are so glad they do. Humpday hosts help you meet new people over the night, so you won't be left to your own devices.
Do I need to download the app?
No but you do get a discount on event tickets if you do.. and you'll get to meet people online who you might not get a chance to meet in the room.

Humpday events are created with the intention of providing a fun and safe space for authentic IRL connection. We expect you to behave with kindness and respect, and lead with empathy, whilst engaging in conversation. Humpday has zero tolerance to the following anti-social behaviour:
- Making others feel uncomfortable, frightened or threatened through (but not limited to) bullying, harassment, belittling, intimidating, blackmail, emotional abuse, repeated unwanted conduct, encouraging violence
- Excessive alcohol consumption - please don’t turn up to this event drunk. We’re serious about authentic connection so if you are noticeably drunk, you will be turned away without refund
- Use of illicit drugs - just say no
- Physical or sexual violence, sexual harassment, sharing unwanted sexually explicit content or images, in-person indecent exposure
- Unsolicited commercial or promotional purposes
- Distributing or facilitating the purchase of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes
- Hate based discrimination on identity including race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion
Notice of Filming and Photography
Attendees consent to their filming and photography as participants to the event. By attending this event you agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes. Showcasing the event and vibes in action is important for us to spread the word. If you do not wish for your image to be shown on social media platforms, please make yourself known on the day - we want everyone to feel comfortable.
