Picnic in the Garden

This is a great opportunity to visit the Te Waimate Mission, enjoy a picnic** and discuss photographing gardens and flowers.    You'll be treated to a complimentary tour of the House, then we'll set off in small groups to photograph the beautiful cottage gardens of Te Waimate Mission.  Once we've finished photographing, we'll regroup for a debriefing.  

The session is led by professional local photographer Claire Gordon who will give you tips on getting the best from your camera and composing your photographs.

**Bring your own picnic, tea and coffee supplied.

Following on from this session will be Workshop #2:   "Working with Light and Shade", photographing the interior of the Mission House and gaining an understanding of using your camera on manual to capture the atmosphere of this beautiful old house.
