Pillars Of Autumn - EP Release!
Event description
Join The Pillars of Autumn with special guests Mosaic Mind and Odd Effrrtt for the celebration of their self-titled EP release at the Pink Rock Culture Coop
The Pillars Of Autumn
A guitar-forward vintage-inspired quartet from Syracuse and Oswego NY, the group combines earnest earworm songwriting with searing guitar leads and tight grooves. Their new EP, self-titled "Pillars of Autumn" draws on a variety of musical styles, from tin pan alley Broadway jazz of "The future isn't what it used to be" to the jam band funk of "Tierra Del Sol" to the 1970s-style soft ballad "Welcome". The Pillars of Autumn have refused to be pinned down by genre and cover artists as diverse as Steam Powered Giraffe, the Beatles and Harvey Danger. Their originals sound like fiddling with the FM radio dial in the low 90s, stopping for a song you love at each station.
The Pillars of Autumn is the brainchild of guitarist James "Soup" Debiase, guitarist and syracuse music scene veteran Mark Rowlands, Josh Hintz on drums and vocals and his brother, Fred Hintz on the bass and vocals.
