Event description

The Foundation Skills for Women’s Health and Wellbeing Work is a pilot program providing service providers with foundational level understanding of Women's Health and Wellbeing sector work.

This 3-part training series has been developed with insights from the women’s health and wellbeing, sexual violence, and domestic and family violence sector in Queensland.  Join us and  increase your understanding and knowledge of the sector while also assisting to test and refine the program before finalisation.

Workshop and resource materials will cover:

  • Myths about Women’s Health and Wellbeing
  • Building blocks for Women’s Health and Wellbeing workers starting in the sector
  • Essential legal information/contact organisations
  • Understanding how Women's Health and Wellbeing work intersects with DFV and Sexual Violence services
  • Self-Care for Practitioners
  • Trauma-Informed Practice and Recovery Work
  • Intersectional Considerations

We encourage registrations from within the Women’s Health and Wellbeing sector to hone this induction/ orientation resource and encourage feedback.
