Event description
One in seven women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2022, about 3178 women lost their battle with breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Network Australia was started in 1998 as an organisation to positively influence the way that breast cancer was considered in the community. Since then, it has grown from an initial 300 women to 175,000 individuals to advocate for, support and inform those affected by breast cancer.Â
We, at Pink Hope, aim to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Network Australia so that they can continue to aid patients diagnosed with breast cancer and also influence and create a stronger healthcare system.  Â
The event is an approximately 5km walk which will start at Mitcham Reserve along Brown Hill Track up to the picturesque One Tree Hill. We will then descend again back to the starting point.Â
Start time is at 10.45am and should conclude by 12.45pm. The meeting point is at the Mitcham Memorial Band Rotunda.Â
Tickets are priced at $10 per person and all proceeds will go towards Breast Cancer Network Australia. A small commemorative souvenir will be given to each participant.Â
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you,
Pink Hope
