Patricia’s journey with Neurofeedback:

Patricia, 62, grew up in Medillin, Colombia. She was surrounded by gang violence and witnessed the murder of her brother. From the age of 7 she was often starved, beaten, sexually assaulted and locked in a shed for days by her father. She came to Australia in her mid 20s and was referred to STARTTS in 2022 after a suicide attempt. Patricia was diagnosed with complex PTSD, severe depression, anxiety and stress. Patricia received multiple types of treatment at STARTTS including counselling, but her recovery didn’t begin until she was referred to ANFI for Neurofeedback. Now her life has completely changed. She can finally sleep through the night, control her anger and is in recovery from her past trauma. Patricia believes that Neurofeedback has saved her life.
