Event description

HSSW is putting on our first Poker Run! New to Poker Runs? Us too! Here's the gist - it is an interactive event where participants visit various checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one, all in the pursuit of the best poker hand by the end of the event. Typically participants are on motorcycles and spend the day cruising, enjoying the open road, and partaking in some goodies at each checkpoint.

For our Pipes & Paws Poker Run, all wheels are welcome (not just motorcycles)! All participants will check-in at HSSW (4700 S County Road G, Janesville, WI 53546) between 10am-11:30am. Once participants are checked in, they are ready to ride! The route will then be as follows:

  1. The Union Tavern (10430 US-14, Evansville, WI 53536)
  2. Good Works Brewing Company (237 Parkview Dr, Milton, WI 53563)
  3. Boxcars Pub & Grub (108 Allen St, Clinton, WI 53525)
  4. Hog Cabin Saloon (631 Newark Rd, Beloit, WI 53511)
  5. Knute's Bar & Grill (206 E Beloit St, Orfordville, WI 53576)

We will have volunteers stationed at each checkpoint to stamp participant's 'passports' indicating that they stopped at the checkpoint and will be dealt a card for that checkpoint at the end. Our volunteers will be stationed at each location during the following times:

  1. The Union Tavern from 11am-1pm
  2. Good Works Brewing Company from 12pm-2pm
  3. Boxcars Pub & Grub from 1pm-3pm
  4. Hog Cabin Saloon from 2pm-4pm
  5. Knute's Bar & Grill from 3pm-End of Event

Participants must make sure to stop at each checkpoint in order to have a complete poker hand dealt out at the end! We plan to start dealing out cards at 5pm at Knute's and crowning the top three winners shortly after all hands have been dealt! Prizes are as follows: Third Place - $50 Kwik Trip Gift Card, Second Place - $50 Kwik Trip Gift Card and $50 Cash, and First Place - $50 Kwik Trip Gift Card and $100 Cash!

Pre-register here, or the day of the event!
