Pitch Night - Smart Waste Hackathon (part of the Australian Circular Economy Conference)
Event description
Join us for an exciting, interactive event where startup founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and curious community members will come together and celebrate the innovative ideas being developed in our own backyard.
The format will be similar to "Shark Tank" where each team from the Smart Waste Virtual Hackathon will do a short presentation to a panel of judges, and the judges will ask questions and choose their favourite ideas.
Teams from the Hackathon are coming up with innovative ideas to solve the issues of managing waste, increasing sustainability, and improving the waste service customer experience.
Winners will get a cash prize, plus time with the city council to workshop a pilot to test their idea in the real world.
Introduction by Mayor Khal Asfour.
