The Pitch - Christmas Special

Four Christmas Tales. One winner. Many laughs.

After successful showings at the Wollongong Spiegeltent and Wollongong Comedy Festival, The Pitch returns in 2024 for ONE NIGHT ONLY to celebrate the silly season.

Four performers from local comedy group Room for IMPROVment are pitted against each other to create the next big holiday movie in this blockbuster improv challenge! With no script, and no clue, they’ll need the help of the audience and their fellow improvisers to create scenes to sell their pitch.

One by one, the audience will eliminate pitches until only the funniest is left standing, surviving ‘The Pitch’ and becoming the only story to get a huge Hollywood ending.

Room for IMPROVment are Wollongong’s premier improv troupe having performed across Wollongong, Sydney and South-West Sydney to sold out crowds. Previous highlights include their acclaimed Wollongong shows “Fiasco” and “Comedy Olympics”, opening for the Australian Improv Festival, a residency at Improv Theatre Sydney and being Heat Winners and Semi-Finalists in ImproAustralia’s Cranston Cup.

Their off the wall antics are always a treat, and with each show being completely different you don’t want to miss a single one!
