Place Based Capital Information Series:
We are hosting three interactive workshops to help the Bellingen Shire community:
✔ Understand capital—what it is and why it matters
✔ Map our capital needs and opportunities
✔ Identify solutions that will help us achieve our community goals
Our approach is participatory, action-oriented, and shaped by local voices and aspirations.
Session 1. Fundamentals of Place Based Capital:
Learn the basics of place based capital in a facilitated training session. Build confidence and knowledge to engage with this initiative. Wednesday 30 April 5.30 - 7.30pm, Venue TBC
Session 2. Mapping our Capital Needs & Opportunities:
Work together to map how we currently generate, access, own, govern, and manage money and assets—and explore what’s possible. Wednesday 28 May 5.30 - 7.30pm, Venue TBC
Session 3. Identifying Capital Solutions to Achieve our Goals:
Discover and explore place based capital solutions that will enable families, organisations, and the wider community to thrive. Wednesday 25 June 5.30 - 7.30pm, Venue TBC
We will also share examples from Bellingen Shire, including the Waterfall Way Community Land Trust, along with case studies from Australia and abroad.
