Place Based Capital Panel Discussion

Join us for a practical, honest session exploring how our communities can harness place-based capital to drive local change. Hear directly from people leading initiatives, and learn how community ownership, local investors, and values-based funding models are already delivering results.

Meaghan Burkett from Ethical Fields will provide an overview of place-based capital - what it is, why it matters, and how it’s being applied. Then, we’ll hear from a panel featuring ACRE, YCDCo, and Housing Matters Action Group (Bellingen), who are all involved in community-led investment initiatives.

The session includes Q&A, shared reflections, and space to consider what this could mean in your own context.

This is a free session delivered by Alpine Valleys Community Leadership, and is open to all current program participants and Alumni of our programs, in addition to those of the Victorian Regional Community Leadership Programs and Leadership Victoria. Alumni from Red Earth Community Foundation programs are also welcome.
