Placemaking in Practice: Insights Every Council Should Know

Date & Time:
📅 Tuesday, 5 August 2025
⏰ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM AEDT
📍 Online (Zoom link provided upon registration)

Event Overview
How do different councils across Australia approach placemaking - and what can we learn from them? Join us for an exclusive online session diving into the latest placemaking benchmarking research conducted by the University of South Australia’s CERM-PI team.

We’re joined by Dr Sunny Son, Associate Professor at UniSA Business, who will present key findings from the national Placemaking Benchmark Survey, now in its third year. Learn how councils are defining, funding, and measuring placemaking success -and what that means for your strategy, operations, and community outcomes.

Whether your council is building a new strategy or refining an existing one, this session will equip you with real-world data and research-backed insights you can take straight to your team or committee table.

Dr Sunny Son - Associate Professor, UniSA Business
