Plant for Rakali - Restore Ginninderra Creek Habitat at Palmerville

Join us for a community planting day along Ginninderra Creek at Palmerville Heritage Park, McKellar.

Help plant more than 200 native trees, shrubs and grasses to stabilise the creek bank, improve waterway health and restore habitat for Rakali -- our delightful local native water rat.

During the morning, Rozie from Environmental Restoration Design and Planning will share insights into the research and work to improve habitat for Rakali and other mammals along Ginninderra Creek, and Ginninderra Catchment Group will share about the ACT Community Waterways Restoration project.

After the planting, stay for a well-earned BBQ lunch and chat with fellow volunteers.

When: Saturday 13th June 2026, 10am-12pm, followed by BBQ lunch

Where: Palmerville Heritage Park, McKellar

Meet at the carpark on Owen Dixon Drive.
