Community Plant Guarding along Riddells Creek in Macedon
Event description
Come along on this Saturday morning event, for as much or as little time as you can offer, to help put plant guards around 100’s of seedlings which have been planted by contractors along Riddells Creek. We need to guard them from the rabbits to give them a chance to establish. Everything supplied.
The location can be accessed off Mt Macedon Rd just past the Church heading to Mt Macedon, before the curve.
Riddells Creek runs from the Macedon Reservoir right through the township, it wraps around the southern side of the Tony Clarke Oval, crosses under Waterfalls Road, flows through to cut under Mt Macedon Road at Centennial Park. It then flows through the Bolobek property, picking up all the other creeks that flow down the mountain, and eventually heads to its namesake, the town of Riddells Creek.
