Plant Identification & Home Herbalism (Kids workshop 10+)
Event description
Plants have been our allies since Ancient times. Our ancestors used plant medicine daily in their lives to maintain wellbeing, heal, cleanse and nourish their bodies. When we can identify a plant, we can start to learn about how to use the plant in our daily lives. The Plant Identification & Home Herbalism workshop will will help you to learn the names of herbs, identifying them and using them in simple recipes and teas.
Making Plant Medicine is fun and easy. By growing herbs, you also encourage more bees and
butterflies in your garden. After exploring the garden and identifying the herbs, we will learn how to make some simple recipes. You
will be able to recreate these recipes at home, using some basic ingredients like honey, apple cider vinegar, beeswax, olive oil and herbs. At the end of the day you’ll be able to take some samples home with you and hopefully feel inspired to make more medicine in your
home.
