Event description

Join Perth NRM for a hands-on Plant Propagation Workshop and learn how to grow new native plants from seeds and cuttings. This practical session will guide you through simple, effective techniques used in native plant restoration — helping you bring more biodiversity to your backyard and community spaces.

Led by the experienced facilitators at Native Plants WA (Rockingham), you’ll learn about:
🌿 Different propagation methods — seeds, cuttings, and division
🌿 How to care for seedlings as they grow
🌿 The importance of native plants in supporting local ecosystems

This workshop is perfect for anyone keen to deepen their gardening skills, support local revegetation efforts, or simply discover the joy of growing native plants from scratch.

All materials will be provided, and participants can take home a few propagated plants to continue nurturing.

Date: Saturday 15 November 2025
Location: Native Plants WA Rockingham
Time: 8am - 3pm
Cost: $20 per person - Lunch and morning tea included, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan considerations.

How to get there: Enter the Rockingham Golf Club car park and turn left, follow the dirt road for 1km, following the signs to the nursery. 2WD accessible.

This event is not suitable for persons under 16 years old.
