Planting Together! Community Tree Planting Day
Event description
Come along and plant a tree with us during the school holidays.
Planting together will benefit the local environment and connect the landscape of our wildlife corridor, as well as provide shelter for livestock. The native species we will plant include Apple Box (Eucalypt bridgesiana), Hickory Wattle (Acacia implexa) and Red Box (Eucalyptus polyanthemos). A shout out to the Southern Tablelands Plant Society, whose members grew and nurtured the trees.
Come on, let's see how many trees we can plant together!
All ages welcome!
Equipment provided; please wear sturdy footwear, long pants, gloves, a hat and bring sun protection.
K2W Link hosts this event as part of Cores, Corridors and Koalas - a partnership between the Great Eastern Ranges and WWF-Australia to restore and connect critical habitat for forest-dependent wildlife.
