Event description
The City of Armadale invites you to participate in the Plants for Residents Program, offering free native and waterwise plants to help transform your backyard and verges into thriving, natural habitats. This initiative is designed to enhance our urban canopy, support local biodiversity, and create greener, cooler spaces throughout our city.
In 2025, residents can choose from one of the following plant packs:
- Darling Scarp Pack
A selection of water-wise plants specifically chosen for properties on clay soils. These plants are adapted to thrive in the unique conditions of the Darling Scarp region.
- Verge Pack
A collection of water-wise plants ideal for creating beautiful and sustainable green verges. These plants require less water, making them perfect for the local environment.
- Bushtucker Pack
A mix of native Australian plants which will help your garden both look and taste great!
- Pollinator Pack
A collection of small, colourful flowers designed to attract and support small pollinators like native bees and butterflies.
- Frog Pond Pack
We like it wet! A plant pack to support the creation of a small pond/habitat for all our frogie friends.
- Trees & Shrubs Pack
Keep cool and create shady spaces in your yard with these carefully selected waterwise trees and shrubs (all >1.5m) .
