Platypus Month - Get in the Loop
Event description
Join Jessica Thomas, Platypus Keeper at Healesville Sanctuary, Nicole Howie of River Detectives and Emily Condon, facilitator for ResourceSmart Schools for an informative chat in the lead up to Platypus Month to find out about this curious species.
Jessica Thomas, Platypus Keeper from the Healesville Sanctuary, will share her platypus knowledge; particularly in relation to the threat of ‘Loopy Litter’ in our waterways, why it’s a problem and what we can do about it – Seize it, Snip it, Bin it!
We’ll look at the schools' activity pack that has been developed to support your school’s celebration of Platypus Month with a spotlight on ‘Loopy Litter' and how participation in this event can be supported by and add to learning in the ResourceSmart Schools program and/or River Detectives program.
Please note this event will take place via Microsoft teams. This event is designed specifically for Victorian schools and stakeholders.
