Event description

Come and uncover the secretive world of one of Australia’s most iconic and elusive species — the platypus.

Join Dr Tamielle Brunt from Wildlife Queensland and University of Queensland PhD candidate Justine Ohlrich as they share their insights into platypus research in the Albert River Catchment.

Dr Tam will provide an update on Logan City Council’s environmental DNA (eDNA) platypus monitoring project, now in its 10th year, while Justine will discuss her 2024 EnviroGrant-funded research, focusing on water quality and macroinvertebrate communities.
