Platypus Workshop
Event description
Join Karuah & Great Lakes Landcare & Stroud Community Rivercare on Sunday 16th February at Stroud from 930am to 1230pm to delve into the fascinating world of Platypus and learn about a community driven river restoration project starting this year.
We will be joined digitally by Dr Gilad Bino from the University of New South Wales’ Centre for Ecosystem Science in order to gain a greater appreciation of Platypus, their lives and the challenges they face in our modern world.
Following the presentation we will stretch our legs and go for a walk with Stroud Community Rivercare to inspect Mill Creek, to discuss upcoming restoration works, how you can get involved, and the practical steps Landcarers can take to support Platypus populations.
Limited spots are available to attend this workshop in person, those unable to make it to Stroud on the day are welcome to join us digitally via Zoom. Book to attend in person or book to attend online
If attending in person wear appropriate footwear for off trail walking.Â
