Play to Connect: A ‘digital thriving’ workshop with young gamers
Event description
Come and submit your registration of interest for this upcoming event. Applications will be reviewed and participants will be sent a link to access their free tickets and get more details about the event.
Play to Connect is a one off event bringing together Roblox players aged 10-14 years from across Victoria to work with Roblox and PROJECT ROCKIT.
On Saturday 17 May between 1-4pm, up to 40 young people will gather at PROJECT ROCKIT’s HQ in Collingwood to:
- Meet each other and connect and talk about all things Roblox and online gaming.
- Work with PROJECT ROCKIT facilitators to develop ideas, prototypes and ways that Roblox could improve support for young gamers’ wellbeing.
- Share insights about their favourite games on the Roblox platform and what makes them so good, and what could make young gamers experience of Roblox even better.
We can’t wait to have a fun, hands-on session designed to help shape the future of online gaming! Parents and guardians will need to sign participants in on arrival. We’ll provide plenty of food and good vibes, and there’ll be a chill-out space available for anyone who needs a break. Through engaging, structured activities, participants will provide direct feedback to Roblox – helping to improve the platform and support features that enable young people to thrive online.
If you are interested in attending please complete the form below and answer the three questions at the end. We will be in touch with successful applicants and their parents with further information and details about the event in early May.
Note: We will need the applicant, or a parent on behalf of the applicant, to complete the application at the end of this process to attend the event. All questions must be answered to be considered for the event.
