Playback Theatre Workshop
Event description
Playback Theatre is a world-wide theatre movement bringing stories from the audience to life through improvisation. Bringing delight, laughter, and sometimes tears, the actors are challenged to draw on all their resources, and each other, to bring the stories onto the stage.
The workshop will introduce the building blocks of Playback Theatre that are the framework that the actors work with. This knowledge provides a common language that enables unity and security within the chaos of free-fall improvisation! We will also cover elements of drama, that are common to any stage work and contribute to the success of the storytelling.
The day will run from 10am -3pm with short breaks for tea and lunch; please bring your own lunch; some tea/coffee provided.
