Description

Uplyft, who partner with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to deliver the Early Childhood Approach will be facilitating Playful Conversations - a parent workshop series to support early communication skills.

This four (4) weeks workshop will be presented in person by paediatric allied health professionals and early childhood teachers. Both the child and parent/carer attend the session together, and families are encouraged to attend to all sessions to build their knowledge and confidence in supporting their children's communication skills.

Sessions will be held in person, at Westminster Child & Parent Centre, every Wednesday morning, from 9.30 am - 11am on the below dates:

  • November 04

  • November 11

  • November 18

  • November 25

The aim of Playful Conversations is to provide information and strategies to support early communication skills within play routines and daily routines. Parents/carers will have the opportunity to hear about communication strategies, observe them in action, and practise them with their children during the sessions.  Information and strategies are based on best practice in early language development.

Parents/carers will be supported to utilise learnt strategies on a daily basis in their everyday routines and interactions with their child
